Does Christmas Get You In To Debt?

Does Christmas Get You In To Debt?

Do you know 93% of families in the UK Celebrate Christmas? But 61% said they won’t go to church and 15% said I don’t know. Also this Christmas over 81% of families in the UK will be left in debt.

Doesn’t this make you think if Christmas was designed to get you in debt?

Last years rise in sales was 83% and the worst thing about this is they are making billons of pounds and we are spending £1,000 pounds just for one day. Ask yourself one thing “Is it worth it?” I think that when you see the smile on the little kid opening there presents. It does make you feel really good about yourself.

What I really hate when Christmas is over they put prices a lot lower then what you brought. So say if you pay £400 got a play station 3 for a gift for someone at Christmas. One day or two after Christmas the play station 3 will be sold for about £250 - £300. Doesn’t this just make you think you got ripped off?

I don’t understand why people will go out after Christmas and get themselves into more debt through the January sales.

But do you need to spend that much?

The best way around this is to set your self a maximum budget to spend on Christmas and the January sales. I think if you really need extra cash maybe look for a part time Job. Or if you already work full time just save a little bit out of your salary every month for when Christmas does come. Try to always stay one step ahead of the game. This way you might not have to get yourself into debt. But if you do get into debt at least it will not be as much if you didn’t save.
